The world has been talking all about Black Panther since it’s opening premiere weekend last week, and it’s done very well, with a whopping $79.8 million dollars, and for the second weekend so far grossing at $28.8 million, which is wonderful for a second week at the box office. The Friday gross for the Chadwick Boseman superhero flick is the second biggest “day eight” gross in Marvel Cinematic Universe history behind The Avengers which earned $29.9 on it’s second Friday of release.
Black Panther also snagged the 15th biggest non-opening day Friday gross of all time. What’s more impressive is that Black Panther is actually the sixth biggest non-opening wide release Friday of all time behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Congratulations! What a wonderful accomplishment.
