Close Call

Demi Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital Tuesday afternoon after enduring an apparent overdose is now said to be “stable” according to a source close to the singer.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call regarding a 25 year old female patient that was unconscious upon arrival and was revived with Narcan, which is an emergency medication to reverse the side effects of a narcotic overdose. There are rumors that Lovato overdosed on heroin, but a source close to the singer says that those claims are totally false.

Lovato has battled addiction, mental illness, and an eating disorder for years and hasn’t been treated for it since 2010. But even after treatment, she struggled staying clean and sober and suffered with all of her demons. She has been fighting depression and anxiety for a while now and is still in a very dark place despite of the success she has had. Let’s hope Demi can bounce back and get healthy again.
