Summer Time Fine is in full effect! Summer officially starts June 21 and all the memes about summer is going to get whatever body I give is hilarious. However, do not fret, just because summer is here, it does not mean you cannot get it in physically and work on your body goals. According to the Department of Health and Human Services published Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, children aged 6-17 should engage in at least 60 minutes of physical aerobic activity while adults should get at least 30 minutes of physical activity.
Physical Activity is important as it promotes long-term health benefits for everyone. Not only does it burn calories but it also is good for your mental health as well. Joining a gym or boot camp class, walking or jogging in your neighborhood, or just playing a game of pick-up basketball are great ways to get moving. There are small changes that you can do such as take the stairs instead of the elevator, or park at the back of the parking lot to get in extra steps.
